Pictures

Here are some pictures of Jules. This is yesterday shortly after we saw her in ICU:

And this is just now...you can see how swollen her left eye has become.

In the past hour she's really perked up...we've read books, she's pointed out letters (her favorite past time of late), watched Elmo's Alphabet Rap on the computer...she's definitely perking up.

Ohhh! Sweet baby girl! Glad she is in a happier mood. I am sure it will make for a better afternoon! Thanks for the pics.

Thanks for the updates and pictures! We're keeping the kids up-to-date on all that's going on with Julia. Maddie is particularly concerned, so showing her the pictures helps her to understand. It helps me, too, actually. Love you guys!

Aloha,
I'm a mom of a boy who had this surgery done 10 years ago. He was treated by Dr. Chugani and Dr. Sood was around but was not the actual surgeon. We also had the no seizure issue after the grid placement...so crazy as he had no seizure free days for at least a year prior. They said that the brain could be in a state of shock from the surgery. Anyway, the seizures did appear and he had the surgery, although it had to be pushed back by 4 days. It was very successful and he has lived a seizure free life (after a rocky first week after surgery) for almost 10 years. We are battling small seizures right now, but nothing like before. Life is good and we will keep you all in our prayers, especially beautiful Julia.

Hugs,
Sheila and Trevor

Awww...cute.

The fact that she can point and stuff, watch shows is awesome, I have got to find out more about Julia.

My heart goes out to you and your family Lisa...I can only imagine the emotions you must be feeling as you watch your daughter go through this. I'm so glad that she is doing so well and I wish her a smooth and speedy recovery. Take care.

Great to hear she is perking up. I will have to check out Elmo's Alphabet Rap for Sophie...sounds cute. The pictures bring back so many memories...all the way down to the comfy blanket you receive while in the ICU.

I hate that I keep checking for updates for seizures. It is something you never wish for. But I am hoping that she has already had one so that you can get that worry behind you.

she looks just as beautiful as ever. I see past those bandages and I see a very engaged child waiting like the rest of your family to be home in her own bed. It will be soon. Take care of yourself first!
