Reunited...and it feels so good
We are finally with Julia in the PICU. She's doing really well, a little swollen but resting comfortably. She waved to us when we came in the room which was great. We were told the first thing she said when she woke up was "puppy"...big surprise, huh? She has had a couple of periods when she gets upset but calms down quickly. I'll update more tomorrow but for now she's doing great.

Great, enjoy the time together. Glad to know the day has gone so well.
As weird as this may sound...enjoy these few days between surgeries. Because recovery after the second surgery was much harder on me emotionally. After 3 or 4 days, Sophie came around and it got much easier. But those 3 or 4 days were hard.
I am hoping these next few days are uneventful. That things go as planned.
Hope things go smoothly and you get a little rest tonight.
